Novosibirsk Region investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have launched a criminal investigation in a crime under part 4 of article 159 of the RF Penal Code  (fraud on a very large scale).

According to investigators, in 2014, employees of ZAO Akris Travel and ZAO Akris Inturist signed contracts on travel services with physical and legal entities. The paid travel services (air transportation, transfer, booking hotel rooms, sightseeing and other expenses) worth over 2 million rubles were never provided, the employees of the travel agencies got the money to themselves.

At present investigators are identifying all victims of the frauds and carry out investigative operations to gather evidence. The investigation is ongoing.
