In Moscow Region three suspects of burglary of businessman’s house in Krasnogorsk District detained

Moscow Region investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee continue investigating a criminal case opened in a burglary of a house owned by a businessman in the village of Nakhabino, Krasnogorsk District (paragraph “b” of part 4 of article 162, part 3 of article 162 and part 3 of article 30, paragraph “h” of part 2 of article 105 of the RF Penal Code).

During the investigation it has been ordered to carry out investigative and search operations to find and identify people involved in the attack on the family. Three suspects were detained at night of 4 February 2015 as a result of coherent and efficient work of investigators and police operative officers. Two of them were held on the border of Belorussia, the third in the town of Krasnogorsk.

It has been reported earlier, that on 2 February, at about 9 PM, six masked people attacked a businessman and his wife when they were coming to their house in the village of Nakhabino. The perpetrators threatened the couple with knives and tied them up. Then they put them in one of the rooms and demanded to tell them where jewelries and money were. Having got hold of 1.5 million rubles, two of the burglars went to a guest house, where the businessman’s daughter, son-in-law and a 5-year-old child were sleeping. First they hit the young woman and she passed out, then during a fight they stabbed her husband several times. During the fight the man grabbed a knife from one of the burglars and stabbed both of them. The two burglars died on the spot and the businessman’s son-in-law was taken to hospital with two stabbed wounds to chest and stomach. The rest of the burglars fled the scene. The suspect detained in Moscow Region has already confessed to the crime and told that there had been eight people taking part in the burglary with two of them acting as drivers. The burglars had taken two cars to get to the crime scene. They had left them far from the house, so that CCTV cameras or neighbors could not see the cars. The detained man could not answer the question why they had chosen this particular house, as he was only a driver.

Custodial restraint is expected soon. All measures are being taken to identify the rest of the burglars. The investigation is ongoing.
