Experienced criminalists and investigators of Investigative Committee Central Office join investigation in Boris Nemtsov murder

Moscow Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee has launched a criminal investigation in the murder of Boris Nemtsov in Moscow – crimes under paragraphs “g” and “h” of part 2 of article 105 of the RF Penal Code (murder) and article 222 (illegal circulation of firearms).

According to preliminary data an unidentified attacker in a car shot Boris Nemtsov 7 or 8 times at least as he crossed Bolshoy Moskvoretsky Bridge. An investigative team is now working at the scene examining it in detail, identifying and interviewing witnesses of the murder.

Following the order of Alexaner Bastrykin, Chairman of the Investigative Committee, experienced criminalists and investigators of the Committee’s Central Office have joined the probe immediately. All operations necessary to identify and catch the attackers are underway.
