In Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area investigation launched in kidnapping of two Russians in Sudan

Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area-Yugra investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have launched a criminal investigation in a crime under paragraphs “a”, “c”, “d” and “g” of part 2 of article 126 of the RF Penal Code (kidnapping of two or more people by a group of people in a preliminary conspiracy using violence dangers for life and health; using weapons or objects that might be used as weapons).

On 29 January 2015, in Sudan, unidentified people conspired and threatening with guns kidnapped two citizens of Russia - a manager of UTair Airlines and an aircraft mechanic of UTair-Engineering, who were serving in Sudan under a contract.

The kidnappers took them in an unknown direction and their whereabouts are still not known.

At present investigative operations are underway to find out all the circumstances of the crime.
