In Moscow investigation launched in injuring a school girl

Following a check in reports published in mass media the investigating bodies of Moscow Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have launched a criminal investigation in a crime under part 1 of article 111 of the RF Penal Code (deliberate infliction of grievous bodily harm).

According to investigators, on 2 February 2015, at about 12:15 PM, a 9th grader aged 15 suffered a back injury after falling on the floor in school No 460 located in Belorechenskaya street in Moscow. The ambulance delivered the girl to city children’s hospital.

At present the investigators have assigned a forensic medical inquiry to determine how bad the injury is, witnesses, teachers, medical personnel are being questioned. Other investigative operations are underway to find out all the circumstances of the incident.

It should be noted that following internal inspections the headmaster of the school, a school nurse and a security officer have been dismissed. However, the investigators are going to find out all reasons and conditions that made it possible to injure the teenager. They will also identify the role of school personnel in charge of health and safety of children at school.
