The Trans-Baikal Territory investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee continue investigation in a crime under part 2 of article 293 of the RF Penal Code (negligence entailing death of a person) and part 1 of article 109 (reckless homicide) opened following the death of a 9-year-old boy resulted from an attack of stray dogs.

Considering great response of the public to the death of the boy the leadership of the Trans-Baikal Territory Investigations Directorate has decided to pass the probe over to the first department for major investigations.

In addition, today the investigators have conducted several searches in on of regional ministries, in housing and communal services committee of Chita town administration and Roads and Bridges Repairing and Construction Office. Vital for the investigation documents were confiscated.

Investigators still consider the version of the stray dog attack as a priority one. A forensic medical examination has been fixed to find the cause of death. The results of the examination are expected to come soon.

At present investigative operations are underway to find out all the circumstances of the crime. The investigation is ongoing.
