Russia's IC plans to prosecute State Duma Deputy Denis Voronenkov in criminal case of fraud
The Moscow Office of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation is investigating a criminal case of stealing real estate of "TOMA" OOO and submitting deliberately false information for the Unified National Register of Legal Entities in respect of the said company.
Investigators have established that, in 2010-2011, a group of people, which included two former law enforcement officers, a realtor and other accomplices  was committing criminal acts, as a result of which the only shareholder of "TOMA" OOO was deprived of the right of ownership of 100% of the authorised share capital. In addition, having forged the documents, accomplices stole a building worth 127 million rubles also belonging to the said organization.
Six accomplices have already been convicted under Article 159 of the Criminal Code (fraud), the case against one more defendant is pending in court, and two persons are in the status of accused.
Investigators have evidence that it was State Duma Deputy Denis Voronenkov who organized the commission of these crimes and supervised their execution.
In accordance with the legislation, the Investigative Committee has sent the documents necessary for making a decision on suggesting the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation  to deprive Mr. Voronenkov of immunity and give consent to implead him to the Prosecutor General's Office .
