Moscow Interregional Transportation Investigations Directorate has opened an investigation in a crime under part 3 of article 109 of the RF Penal Code (reckless homicide of two or more) after a power boat collided with a railway bridge pier.

According to preliminary data, today about 05:50 PM, a Teulis-2015 boat with three men aboard for no apparent reason collided with a railway bridge pier in the Voronezh reservoir, caught fire and sank 10 meters off the bank. Everybody aboard were killed.

A joint investigative team of the Moscow Interregional Transportation Investigations Directorate and Voronezh Region Investigations Directorate are working at the scene. A number of preliminary investigative and search operations are underway. Divers have recovered the three dead bodies and the boat from the reservoir. The scene, the bodies are being examined, witnesses are being identified and questioned.
