Novgorod Region investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have finished investigating a criminal case against three residents of the town of Vorovichi, Novgorod Region. Depending on the role of each of them, two men and a woman are charged with crimes under part 4 of article 111, part 1 of article 119 of the RF Penal Code (deliberate infliction of grievous bodily harm, entailing death of the victim by negligence, threat of murder).

According to investigators, in March 2014, the drunk accused beat the man they had had a conflict with in a house in Borovichi, using their hands, feet and wooden sticks. The reason for the conflict was the noise from the flat of the accused, where they had been drinking alcohol. In addition, two of the assailants threatened the man’s wife to kill her. Four days later the man died in hospital.

At present the criminal case with the approved indictment has been sent to court to be tried on the merits.
