On 30 May 2015, the Head of Governor’s Office – Deputy Governor of Yugra went missing during a river row on the 1,160^th km of the junction of the Ob and Irtysh rivers in Khanty-Mansiysk District. The investigating bodies of the Ural Transportation Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have launched a pre-investigating check.

According to preliminary data, the Deputy Governor fell outboard. Search operations are underway, including the area along the riverside adjacent to the presumable scene.

At present the investigators are carrying out a number of checks to find out the reasons and circumstances of the incident. A procedural decision will be made following the check.
