The investigating bodies of the Moscow Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have launched a criminal investigation against the acting deputy head of the Moscow Region Office of the Federal Bailiffs Service suspected of a crime under part 1 of article 286 of the RF Penal Code (abuse of authority).

According to investigators, no later than on 27 December 2014, the official used her position to drive an arrested Lexus. When she was stopped by traffic police officers in Moscow, she showed them a counterfeit order on the change of the bailee issued on the name of her close relative, due to which the car was not arrested.

At present the said official has been detained and a custodial restraint is expected. The investigators are going to check if the woman was involved in similar crimes. The investigation is ongoing.
