A meeting of the NGO “Union of Investigation Veterans” has been held. It was attended by Chairman of the Russia’s Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin and his deputy Alexander Fyodorov.

The meeting endorsed the constituent instrument and charter of the Association, determined the number of Presidium members, elected the Chairman, Presidium members and the inspector. As a result of an open voting Vladimir Dontsov, state councilor of justice 3^rd class was elected Chairman of the Presidium.

The Investigative Committee Chairman welcomed investigation veterans warmly, congratulated them on the 70^th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and presented with memorial medals. Mr. Bastrykin told about successfully developing activity of the Investigative Committee Cadet School which would have another graduation ceremony tomorrow and about a considerable number of those wanting to join the school and the Investigative Committee Academy. He called upon the veterans to take active part and put forth offers when recruiting cadet classes giving priority to the children of law-enforcement officials.

Mr. Bastrykin stressed that today the Investigative Committee actively develops international relations and the Union of Investigation Veterans has to unite with similar organizations abroad to create international associations.
