In Bashkiria a criminal investigation opened against three employees of the republican Office of the Russian Ministry of the Interior and three officials of the Bashkortostan Investigations Office over their negligence (article 293 of the RF Penal Code).

When reviewing the complaint made by the relatives of a teenager killed in December 2013, it was revealed that police officers and employees of Bashkortostan Investigations Directorate had failed to execute their duty properly. They had been negligent during the initial investigation and during the main investigation in the teenager’s death.

The Main Investigations Directorate was charged with the investigation.
