Statement of Russia’s Investigative Committee related to investigation launched by Ukraine’s prosecutor General’s office against Russian investigators

There is nothing unusual in the actions of the Ukraine’s Prosecutor General’s Office. This is the expression of today’s power in this country that is rolling down a precipice. When in front of the whole world defenseless civilians are burned alive in the House of Trade Unions in Odessa, embassies are sacked, journalists and priests are killed, calls for murders and interethnic hatred are encouraged, and all that goes unpunished, then there is nothing surprising.

Instead of investigating all that outrage happening in Ukraine, they make a defendant accused of killing Russian citizens a hero. There is nothing surprising in that, I repeat. All that is the result of that atmosphere of hatred and Russophobia brought about by as they call it “the revolution of dignity”. Worthy followers of Bandera!

As for some criminal cases which they are trying to fabricate against Russian citizens, I would like to answer paraphrasing the words of our favorite film character: “… They’ll get a big fat zero”.
