Two accomplices found guilty of killing 7 people in 2004 in Karachay-Cherkessia

A court has recognized the evidence gathered by the North Caucasian Federal District Main Investigations Directorate sufficient to convict Dzhasharbek Gllov and Shamil Chomayev. Depending on the role of each one, they were found guilty of crimes under paragraphs “a” and “g” of part 2 of article 105 of the RF Penal Code (murder), part 1 of article 222 (illegal circulation of firearms), part 3 of article 327 (use of a knowingly forged document).

The court and investigators have found that on 11 October 2004, in a camping owned by OAO Kavkaztsement located in the southwest of Zelyony Ostrov park in the town of Cherkessk, Gloov, Chomayev and other former convicts shot dead from submachine guns seven people.

Gloov tried to escape and illegally got a Russian passport and driving license in a false name, which he used when his ID was checked.

Chomayev and Gloov were wanted since 2004 and were held in October 2013 and January 2014 respectively.

The court has sentenced Gloov to 17 years in prison, Chomayev to 15 years in prison to be served in a maximum-security penal colony.
