On 30 August 2015, the police got a report that a 16-year-old girl had been brought to a hospital with stabbed wounds and died later. The Irkutsk Region investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have opened a criminal investigation in a crime under part 1 of article 105 of the RF Penal Code (murder).

According to preliminary information, in the evening of 30 August 2015, the perpetrator stabbed the girl near a building in Ushinsky street and ran away. The motives are yet to be revealed.

At the present time, investigative and search operations are underway to identify the one who committed the crime. The investigation is ongoing.
