Yesterday nigh, during a car theft patrol in the city of Yaroslavl near Lisitsyn street, a man presumably involved in the crimes shot several times at police officers. One of the officers died on the scene of shot wounds, the second one was taken to a hospital. At present investigators and criminalists of the Yaroslavl Region Investigations Directorate are working at the scene.

Investigative and search operations are underway to identify and apprehend the shooter. Criminal investigation is expected to be launched soon.
