The Chuvash Republic investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have finished investigation against a 38-year-old contractor of a construction company. He is charged with a crime under part 1 of article 143 of the RF Penal Code (violation of labor protection rules entailing grievous bodily harm).

According to investigators, on 25 May 2015, during construction of a 16-floor block of flats in the town of Novocheboksarsk the accused left the construction site, failed to oversee the technological sequence of concreting a solid column by his subordinate and failed to instruct him on safe method of the operation. A metallic bar jumped off a swaying tub with concrete and hit the worker on the head causing him an open brain injury and skull fracture. According to the conclusion of a forensic medical inquiry the worker sustained grievous bodily harm.

The investigators have enough evidence, sot the criminal case with the approved indictment has been sent to court to be tried on the merits.
