Former deputy governor’s son and his accomplices charged in Ulyanovsk Region

The Ulyanovsk Region investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have pressed final charges against Eduard Zinnurov, Kamil Aleyev, Rustam Yakhiyev, Ivan Semyanov and Marat Yafarov. Depending on the role of each one they are charged with crimes under paragraph “a” of part 3 of article 111 of the RF Penal Code (deliberate infliction of grievous bodily harm by a group of people), part 1 of article 116 (battery), part 1 of article 119 (threat to kill), paragraph “a” of part 2 of article 163 (extortion committed by a group of people).

According to investigators, on 30 December 2014, Zinnurov, Yakhiyev and Aleyev in Robespierre street in Leninsky district of Ulyanovsk during a conflict sued a non-fatal gun to threaten to kill and wounded 27-year-old police officer Andrey Arapov and his 21-year-old brother. In addition, the investigators revealed, that between 16 and 18 February 2010, Zinnyrov, Yafarov and Semyannov acted as a criminal group to extort 50 thousand rubles from the parents of a minor from Kazan.

At present, the defendants have been notified that the investigation was finished and in the near future they are going to start reading the files.

I would like to note that high-ranking relations will not save the accused. The Russian justice does not depend on statuses of any kind and as it was announced by the Investigative Committee many times, everybody is equal before the law. This investigation, which is about to be finished, is another confirmation.
