The investigating bodies of the Moscow Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have launched a pre-investigative check in the information published in media that activist Anna Levchenko was receiving threats.

According to preliminary information, unidentified people have regularly been calling to her cell phone and texting in social networks throughout 2015 threatening to the woman’s life and health.

During the check the investigators are going to find out the circumstances of the wrongdoings and identify the people threatening the woman. A procedural decision will be made following the check.
