Probe launched in Moscow against school headmaster

The investigating bodies of the Moscow Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have opened a criminal investigation against 40-year-old headmaster of School No 15 Sergey Rubbo. He is suspected of crimes under part 1 of article 285 of the RF Penal Code (abuse of authority) and part 3 of article 159 (fraud).

According to investigators, from November 2014 to July 2015, the school headmaster and his accomplices illegally demanded that teachers had to give them bonuses, payouts and other allowances between 10 and 100 thousand rubles each month. The funds were allocated from the budget of Moscow.

In addition, in the said period the accused inclined his subordinates to take loans in banks and give the money to him so that he could spend them. Headmaster’s actions caused the city budget damage of at least 1 million rubles and discredited the educational system as a whole.

At present, a number of investigative and search operations are underway to find out all the details of the incident and identify persons involved in the crime. Besides, Rubbo’s residence and school have been searched. The investigation is ongoing.
