Talks of Russia’s Investigative Committee Chairman and Finland’s National Police Commissioner

The Russia’s Investigative Committee hosted today the talks between Chairman of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin and National Police Commissioner of Finland Seppo Kolehmainen.

During the meeting the parties discussed urgent issues of development of partnership between the two agencies in fighting different kinds of crimes in accordance with the Agreement on Cooperation between the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of the Interior of Finland signed in September 2011.

During the talks the heads of the agencies discussed a number of important subjects, such as fighting organized crimes and terrorism, money laundering, organization of cooperation for investigation of certain criminal cases, prospects of exchanging expert practices and holding joint events, including with the involvement of agencies’ educational institutions, and some other issues of mutual interest.

The parties agreed to continue close cooperation and providing assistance within the competences of the agencies.
