Over 6 years, investigators together with operative units of the Russian Interior Ministry and the Federal Security Service with active adoption of modern forensic equipment have solved almost 42 thousand crimes, investigations into which were suspended before. Almost 5 million reports on crimes have been checked resulting in 800 thousand criminal cases opened since the Investigative Committee was formed. More than 560 thousand cases (564,786) against 632 thousand of the accused have been referred to courts which is one of the main factors of the investigative work. Activity of almost 300 organized criminal groups and 19 criminal communities involved in corruption has been broken up. Nearly 153 billion rubles has been compensated during initial investigation (and checks), while property of suspects or the accused of crimes worth more than 77 billion rubles has been arrested to guarantee that compensation.
