Chairman of the RF Investigative Committee, General of Justice of the Russian Federation, Ph.D. in law, professor Alexander Bastrykin has met today with students and professors of the International Law Department of the Moscow State Institute of Investigational Relations and gave a lecture on problems of executing the international humanitarian law.
During the lecture Mr. Bastrykin spoke about response of the international community to domestic and international armed conflicts and about investigation of international crimes, including military ones, and prosecution of war criminals. The conflict in southeastern Ukraine was also mentioned.
The lecture aroused avid interest and was accompanied by a lively discussion.
The meeting became yet another joint event under a cooperation agreement signed between the RF Foreign Ministry’s Moscow State Institute of Investigational Relations (University) and the Investigative Committee.
