Russian Investigative Committee Chairman holds working meeting with Interpol Secretary General

The delegation of the Russia’s Investigative Committee headed by its Chairman Alexander Bastrykin has visited today the Interpol General Secretariat to meet Secretary General Jurgen Stock.

During the meeting the parties discussed some pressing issues regarding international cooperation in criminal proceedings and fighting transnational crimes.

Namely, the heads of the Investigative Committee and the Interpol General Secretariat talked about international search for the accused in the cases being investigated by the Investigative Committee and performance of the Interpol’s Commission for the Control of Files (CCF).

Additionally, the parties discussed other issues of mutual interest, including participation of Investigative Committee’s specialists in international events organized by Interpol, as well as their using a wide range of Interpol’s mechanisms. Some agreements were reached.

The meeting was held in a constructive manner and in the atmosphere of mutual understanding.
