Alexander Bastrykin holds briefing on design and reconstruction of St. Petersburg educational institutions of the Committee

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin held a briefing attended by Deputy Defence Minister Timur Ivanov on design and reconstruction of educational institutions of the Investigative Committee of Russia located in St. Petersburg.

The event was attended by Deputy Chairmen of the Investigative Committee of Russia Sergey Goraynov and Alexander Klaus (via video conferencing) and heads of relative units of the Central Office of the Committee, head of the construction department of the Russian Defence Ministry Marina Balakireva and others.

The Chairman listened to a report of his subordinates on organization of capital construction of a set of buildings in Petergof where the St. Petersburg Cadet Corps will be located, and also on reconstruction of a set of buildings on Moika embankment. These are the planned locations for the St. Petersburg Academy of the Committee and the Cultural Centre of the Investigative Committee of Russia. In their turn, representatives of the Defence Ministry and the direction of a public military construction company of the Defence Ministry shared their experience of such construction.

During this briefing with representatives of the Defence Ministry, priority tasks for the implementation of the above projects, architectural solutions and features of restoration and construction work, as well as the timing of their implementation, have been defined. Following the meeting, the Chairman of the Investigative Ministry of Russia gave a number of specific instructions including creation of a working group to promptly resolve emerging issues.

The head of the Investigative Committee of Russia thanked the representatives of the Defence Ministry for significant assistance and constructive interaction, scientific and educational assistance in the implementation of construction.

In conclusion of the briefing Alexander Bastrykin awarded the Deputy Defence Minister Timur Ivanov a Committee medal.
