Working visit of Chairman of Investigative Committee of Russia to Dagestan

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Ivanovich Bastrykin in Makhachkala held an operational meeting, which was attended by First Deputy Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Eduard Valeryevich Kaburneyev, Deputy Chairman of the Committee of Russia Sergey Nikolaevich Goryainov, Head of Educational work of the Investigative Committee of Russia Sergey Vasilyevich Petrov, heads and employees of individual departments of the central office, including the Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for North Komi The main topic of the operational meeting was summarizing the results of the investigative divisions of the Investigative Committee of Russia, stationed in this district.

The head of the department, discussing the results of 9 months of 2021, noted the positive changes in the quality of the investigation and improve the results of the investigative bodies of the Investigative Committee of Russia, stressing that this work should be continuous. Some figures were announced. Thus, during this period, 57,176 crimes of varying nature and severity were committed in the North Caucasus Federal District. During this period, investigative bodies of the Investigative Committee investigated 8,257 criminal cases, of which 4,307 have been completed. It was noted that the number of murders and cases of inflicting serious harm to health with lethal outcome decreased. One more important component in work is struggle against corruption: for 9 months of the current year the investigators of the departments located in SKFO completed 610 cases of corruption. Separately, the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia outlined the results of work on the investigation of crimes of a terrorist nature. For example, 115 reports of such crimes were registered in the Chechen Republic and 432 reports were registered in the Republic of Dagestan (including financing of terrorism).

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia heard the reports of a number of heads of territorial divisions of the mentioned federal district on the results of work in the current year. He dwelt in detail on the investigation of criminal cases of violation of housing rights of orphans and children left without parental care, of deceived shareholders, as well as on non-payment of wages to employees. The meeting discussed the progress and results of the investigation of certain high-profile criminal cases in which Alexander Ivanovich Bastrykin gave a number of specific instructions and directives aimed at operational, comprehensive and high-quality pre-trial investigation.

In addition, during his working trip Alexander Bastrykin met with relatives of the officers killed in the line of duty. The event was attended by relatives of the fallen officers - brother Nazim Kaziakhmedov; mother and widow Gamzat Musayev; father Gadzhi Alibekov; widow Arsen Gadzhibekov and mother Ramazan Ramazanov. The Chairman of Investigative Committee of Russia thanked parents for upbringing worthy and courageous officers who gave their life defending principles of law and justice in the fight against crime and presented them with departmental commemorative medals "10 Years of Investigative Committee of Russian Federation" as well as valuable gifts. In turn, the relatives expressed their gratitude to the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia and all the staff for the constant attention and assistance to their families. A.I. Bastrykin assured that the employees of the agency are always ready to assist and support the families of their fallen comrades.

The crowd honored the courage of those who died in the line of duty by laying flowers in the Memorial Hall.

In addition, there was a working meeting between the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia and the leadership of the Russian Interior Ministry in the Republic of Dagestan. The head of the agency stressed that joint coordinated action with the units of the Federal Security Service and the Russian Interior Ministry have achieved positive results in the decriminalization of the North Caucasus region, and active work in this direction continues. The Investigative Committee of Russia has already prosecuted a number of former officials of the republic, as well as other individuals for committing crimes of corruption, economic, terrorist orientation, encroachments on the lives of law enforcement officers and other categories of criminally punishable acts, and this work is only strengthening.

A. Bastrykin presented departmental awards to individual heads and staff members of the Investigative Committee of Russia, as well as the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Dagestan, thanking them for their excellent service.
