The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Ivanovich Bastrykin held a video-conference reception of citizens. It was attended by the First Deputy Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Eduard Valeryevich Kaburneev, heads of separate Central Office divisions, as well as heads and employees of regional investigative departments processing criminal inquiries and case materials that drew the attention of the Chairman.
A.I. Bastrykin repeatedly received a number of applicants who had previously appealed to him personally.
Thus, the applicants from the Republic of Bashkortostan, who a month ago complained about the red tape in the criminal investigation of the disappearance of their relative in 2015 in the city of Tomsk, were heard again. The girl went to work and disappeared. The Tomsk Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code (murder), the progress of the investigation on behalf of the head of the agency was put under supervision in the Central Office. At a previous personal reception, the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia gave a number of specific instructions for further investigation and today demanded a report on the work done. He heard the head of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Tomsk Region Shchukin A.V. and criticized for the lack of results, as the fate of the woman is still unknown. Upon instructions of A.I. Bastrykin the criminal case was transferred for further investigation to the investigators of the Central Office. Forensic experts from the Main Forensics Department (Forensic Center) of the Investigative Committee of Russia are also working at the scene.
Citizens of Nizhny Novgorod Region, who lived in a house that was partially destroyed in July 2020 as a result of a household gas leak, also came for a second visit. Fortunately, the accident did not lead to death. Earlier a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 238 of the RF Criminal Code (provision of services not meeting safety requirements) was initiated, but at the last meeting with the complainants A. I. Bastrykin demanded to investigate the role of the city administration officials and bring them to responsibility if there were grounds for it. Over the past month, with the assistance of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod Region a number of issues have been resolved, including the delayed resettlement of people. Alexander Bastrykin inquired about the situation regarding the appraised value of apartments of citizens affected and, accordingly, the amount of compensation payments. The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia also commented on the investigation of the criminal case.
Then A.I. Bastrykin once again spoke to an initiative group from the city of Mozdok in the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania. Since 2014, 25 employees of Mozdok Brick Plant LLC had not been paid their salaries. A month ago A.I. Bastrykin gave the leadership of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania a number of specific instructions. Today a report of the head of the territorial division V. Ustov was heard. He noted that people have started to pay their salaries. The debt will be repaid in the nearest future. Representatives of the initiative group expressed their gratitude to the head of the department and investigators.
At the end of the personal reception A.I. Bastrykin gave a number of instructions on all the issues heard. He also noted that, if necessary, he was ready to receive applicants in person again.
