New Year address of Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia

Dear colleagues, dear veterans of investigation, students, cadets! Dear friends!

In the outgoing year of 2021, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation celebrated its 10th anniversary. This is not a long period for an agency. But it is a serious period in the life of each of us. Thanks to our joint coordinated work over these years, we have managed to prove the importance and necessity of the existence of the Investigative Committee of Russia, that is, the independent investigation, the foundations of which were laid by Peter the Great.

The year 2021 was not an easy one for any of us. We lost comrades-in-arms and loyal friends. But all the difficulties we successfully overcame showed once again how important it is to work together, amicably and together. This is the only way to achieve our goals. This is confirmed not only by official reports. The numerous good feedbacks about our work from people to whom we were able to help in difficult periods of their lives testify to this. We must all understand that people's trust is the main assessment of our hard work.

The past year has seen a number of important and positive organizational changes, both in the central office and in the territorial investigative units.

The system of our educational institutions is also being improved. A boarding school for female pupils opened its doors in St. Petersburg. In Sevastopol, a cadet corps started to operate. Its distinctive feature is the maritime orientation of training of the Investigative Committee cadets.

Youth is our future! And we have a responsible task to promote the comprehensive development of the younger generation. And not only in terms of professional skills, but also moral and ethical qualities.

This year, measures were taken to improve social and medical support for employees of the Investigative Committee. The departmental sanatorium "Rodina" on the Crimean Peninsula began its work. The volume of service housing was significantly increased. More than 100 families of employees of the Investigative Committee will meet the coming year in new furnished apartments.

I would like to take this opportunity to say a sincere thank you to our dear veterans. For moral support, for a reliable friendly shoulder, for assistance in the training and education of future investigators. Your personal example, great life and professional experience help both young employees and those who are just mastering the difficult profession of an investigator.

I sincerely thank all employees of the department for their daily hard work, good initiative, determination, concern for citizens, and integrity in the performance of their official duty.

I would especially like to note the special contribution to the results achieved by our investigators, criminalists, experts, for whom it has become a matter of honor to achieve the truth in the investigation of the case!

Despite the serious difficulties related to the epidemiological situation, together we managed to ensure a high level of medical safety for employees and participants in criminal proceedings.

Dear comrades and friends!

I'm glad to wish you all the best on the upcoming New Year 2022 and Christmas!

I sincerely wish the staff of the Investigative Committee new achievements in service, students and cadets - success in their studies, and veterans - vigor, inexhaustible strength and energy. Health and wellbeing to you and your relatives! Happy New Year and Happy New Year, dear comrades and dear friends!
