Today we learned about the death of our comrade, Deputy Commander of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Navy, Captain 1st Rank Andrey Nikolaevich Paliy.

Andrey Nikolaevich, a hereditary military man, chose the defense of the Motherland and its maritime borders as his life's work since his very childhood. Devoted to his vocation and faithful to his oath, he never doubted that this path was right. He participated in several military operations. Being a selfless person and a true Russian officer, he defended peace and justice to the last. Andrey Nikolaevich died while ensuring the operation of a humanitarian corridor for civilians in Mariupol.

Andrey Nikolaevich was a good friend to the cadets and employees of the Sevastopol Cadet Corps of the IC of Russia. He constantly took part in events held by the cadet corps, during which he instilled a sense of deep patriotism, as well as love for the history and culture of Russia, in the children.

The cadets' first oath, the first participation of the students in the Victory Parade, the first Memory Watches, visits to vessels and units of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation by the corps personnel – due to him, everything was imbued with dignity and was remembered with warmth. Despite his busy schedule, Andrey Nikolaevich always found time to communicate with teaching officers and cadets, he was able to find an approach to everyone, to give a parting word.

We will remember him as an Officer with a capital letter, a courageous defender of our Motherland, loyal to the oath and the Navy. His dedication, courage, and life in an endless struggle will become a high moral standard for young people, our cadets, and officers of the IC of Russia.

We express our sincere condolences to Andrey Nikolaevich's family and friends. Unfortunately, the best people are leaving us. The memory of the true Russian officer Andrey Nikolaevich Paliy will always remain in our hearts.
