A Cooperation Agreement is signed between the Investigative Committee of Russia and the State Committee for Forensic Examinations of the Republic of Belarus

At the invitation of Mr. Alexander Ivanovich Bastrykin, Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, a delegation of the State Forensic Examination Committee of the Republic of Belarus, headed by its Chairman, Mr. Alexei Aleksandrovich Volkov, is on a working trip to St. Petersburg. The delegation also included Mr. Aleksey Stepanovich Aleshkevich, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Forensic Examinations of the Republic of Belarus and Mr. Vadim Sergeevich Poznyak, Head of the State Institution "Scientific and Practical Center of the State Committee for Forensic Examinations of the Republic of Belarus".

Within a working trip, a meeting was held between Mr. A.I. Bastrykin, Mr. A.A. Volkov and his colleagues at the St. Petersburg Academy of the Russian Investigative Committee, which was also attended by Mr. O.Yu. Mikhailov, Head of the Department of Legal Support and International Cooperation of the Russian Investigative Committee and Officers of the division. Mr. A.I. Bastrykin noted that unique relations have developed between Russia and the Republic of Belarus, based on productive cooperation in various fields, strong friendship between our peoples, deep spiritual and cultural ties. He added that relations between the law enforcement agencies of Russia and Belarus are also traditionally built in the spirit of good neighborliness, respect and mutual consideration of interests. They cover numerous areas of cooperation in the field of criminal justice in specific criminal cases, in the development of common approaches to the protection of public values and interests from criminal encroachments, as well as education and training.

"Today, our states are actively developing and deepening integration processes within the Union State, including through the expert institutions of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus", the head of the Russian Investigative Committee noted.

Then the signing of the Cooperation Agreement between the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation and the State Forensic Examination Committee of the Republic of Belarus took place. The document was signed by the Head of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Mr. A.I. Bastrykin and the Chairman of the SCFE of the Republic of Belarus, Mr. A.A. Volkov.

"This is our first interdepartmental legal act, which, I am sure, will give a new impetus to the development of bilateral contacts, and will perfectly correspond to the goals that we set for ourselves. We consider the State Forensic Examination Committee of the Republic of Belarus as an important priority for international cooperation, our close friend and partner," Mr. A.I. Bastrykin.

In conclusion, Mr. A.I. Bastrykin presented departmental medals "75 Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945" to the representatives of the SCFE delegation. and "10 years of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation". In turn, Mr. A.A. Volkov presented the head of the Russian Investigative Committee with the badge "For Merits".
