Military Investigators of the Russian Investigative Committee arrives from the Special Military Operation Zone

A group of Military Investigators of the Investigative Committee of Russia arrived from the zone of a Special Military Operation. At the airport in Moscow, the arrivals were met by Colonel of Justice Konstantin Evgenievich Korpusov - Deputy Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation - Head of the Main Military Investigative Directorate. After the adoption of the report, he congratulated the arrivals on the successful completion of their tasks.

Officers of the Military Investigation joined a large group of Investigators, Forensic experts and specialists of the Investigative Committee to work directly in the Donbas almost immediately after the start of the Special Military Operation. 350 Officers of the Main Military Investigative Directorate visited the Special Military Operation zone during this time.

In connection with the numerous facts of executions, torture of prisoners, destruction of civilian infrastructure, elimination of civilians by Ukrainian nationalists. Investigators, forensic specialists and experts are investigating these crimes within the criminal cases launched on the use of bannned means and methods of warfare, ill-treatment of the civilian population, as well as other especially serious crimes.

During their work in the Special Military Operation zone, Military Investigators, with the assistance of other Law Enforcement Agencies, examined hundreds of incident sites, documenting the consequences of the crimes committed by the Ukrainian Armed Formations. These are destroyed apartment buildings, hospitals, schools, kindergartens, power plants and other socially significant facilities. Possible assistance was provided to victims of the crimes of Ukrainian nationalists, the delivery of humanitarian aid was organized, all other types of support for local residents.

The Officers of the Main Military Investigative Directorate thanked the Leadership of the Investigative Committee for the measures taken to organize their work in the Special Military Operation zone, noting that all emerging issues and difficulties were resolved promptly, and this made it possible to carry out the assigned tasks with high quality.
