Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Ivanovich Bastrykin, visited the Federal State Institution "Central Military Clinical Hospital named after P.V. Mandryka" of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. The meeting with servicemen undergoing treatment at the facility was also attended by the acting Deputy Chairman of the Russian Investigative Committee – head of the Main Military Investigative Directorate Konstantin Evgenievich Korpusov, employees of the military investigative bodies of the Investigative Committee, hospital head Pavel Evgenievich Kraynyukov, and medical staff.
Before the event, officers of the department presented the hospital staff with necessary supplies for the treatment and rehabilitation of participants in the special military operation. Thanking for the delivered cargo, the head of the medical institution, P.E. Kraynyukov, highly praised the Investigative Committee's activities in supporting Russian servicemen.
Meeting with participants of the special military operation undergoing treatment at the hospital, A.I. Bastrykin emphasized that investigators of the department continuously document and investigate crimes committed by Ukrainian armed formations against Russian civilians and servicemen. He noted that officers of the Investigative Committee are taking all necessary measures to bring the perpetrators to criminal responsibility and ensure the inevitability of just punishment. The head of the department added that the Investigative Committee of Russia has suffered irreparable losses and proposed observing a minute of silence to honor the memory of employees who died in the line of duty in the special operation zone.
During the personal reception, servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation shared their problems and received answers to their questions. One of the patients, who has a higher legal education, inquired about the possibility of becoming an investigator of the Investigative Committee of Russia, to which the head of the department responded, "We need combat officers." A.I. Bastrykin also announced the initiative to create a distance learning format in the departmental academies of the Russian Investigative Committee, where participants of the special military operation could receive specialized legal education.
During the conversation, it was noted that the number of questions from servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces has significantly decreased recently, and their content is no longer systemic. This has largely been made possible by the regular and effective personal receptions by the leadership and employees of the Investigative Committee of Russia, who do not leave any appeal without attention and appropriate response.
After the meeting with the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, hospital patients took advantage of his offer to seek additional clarifications from officers of the Military Investigative Directorate of the Russian Investigative Committee in Moscow, who have special legal knowledge in the field of military service and providing various benefits to participants of the special military operation.
As part of the event, there was an award ceremony presenting the leadership and medical staff of the Federal State Institution "Central Military Clinical Hospital named after P.V. Mandryka" with departmental medals "For Assistance." Additionally, A.I. Bastrykin presented medals "Valor and Courage" to servicemen who demonstrated bravery and selflessness in fulfilling their military duty. Following a good tradition, along with the awards, drawings by children from the Kalyazinsky orphanage, sponsored by the Main Military Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia, were handed over to the soldiers. The event continued with a concert featuring Cossack songs performed by artists from the Central House of the Russian Army
