Another participant of unauthorized rally in Moscow charged with violence against police officer

The Head Office of the Investigative Committee continues investigating disorderly behavior and use of violence against representatives of authority by participants of an authorized rally that took place on 26 March 2017 in Moscow.

By now, Dmitry Borisov, 31 has been detained under Article 91 of the RF Criminal Procedure Code on suspicion of the crime under Part 1 of Article 318 of the RF Criminal Code. Investigators believe that on 26 March during the unauthorized rally he kicked twice a police officer on duty on the head. Borisov has been charged with the said crime.

Today Borisov has been placed in custody pending trial.

So far there are 6 persons under investigation in the use of violence against police during the unauthorized rally on Pushkinskaya Square and surrounding area, they are: Kuly, Shpakov, Zimovets, Prepkin, Kosykh and Borisov. Two of them have already been sentenced to prison.

The Investigative Committee is going to prosecute all those who used violence against police during that rally and to respond in similar way to all such crimes in future.
