The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia held a personal reception for the orphans of the Republic of Tyva

Alexander Ivanovich Bastrykin, Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, held a personal reception for citizens via video conference. The first deputy chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia E.V. Kaburneev, deputy chairman S.N. Goryainov, and the department heads of the central office were also in attendance.

An initiative group of orphans and children left without parental care appealed to the head of the agency regarding violations of their housing rights. Some of them came to the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the second time.

Several participants expressed gratitude to the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia for assisting in resolving their problem, as they had received the apartments due to them by law. However, the remaining citizens noted that, despite existing court decisions, they still had not been provided with housing. There are also cases when provided apartments were of substandard quality.

A.I. Bastrykin listened to the report of head of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Tyva K.V. Stolbin on the progress of the criminal case launched on the grounds of negligence (Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the RF). During the investigation, additional facts of violations of orphans' rights have been identified, which were segregated into individual cases with the subsequent initiation of criminal proceedings. The head of the agency criticized the work of his subordinates, noting the delays and lack of results in the investigation, and ordered an internal audit.

The head of the agency gave a number of instructions and emphasized the need to seek not only to restore the victims' rights during the investigation but also to fully compensate them for the damage caused by the committed crimes.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia also listened to the complaints from the participants on other related issues and gave the leadership of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Tyva corresponding instructions, setting the deadline for their execution.

The execution of the instructions has been placed under the personal control of the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
