The investigative bodies of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Moscow Region are investigating a criminal case against a young man suspected of using violence against a police officer (Part 2 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code of the RF).

According to the investigation, on June 5, 2024, in the woodland belt of the city of Domodedovo, Moscow Region, police officers conducting operational search activities stopped suspicious men on bicycles. In response to law enforcement officers’ lawful demands to present identification documents, one of the cyclists pulled out a gun and fired at least three times at the government representative. The victim is currently undergoing hospital treatment and his life is not in danger. The suspect was identified within a very short time.

The head of the department gave the order to the acting head of the Main Investigative Directorate for the Moscow Region, Ya. A. Yakovlev, to report on the progress and preliminary results of the investigation of the criminal case. The execution of this order was placed under the control of the central office of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
