On 27 July 2013, at 04:50 PM, an unknown man near the Matveyevsky market hit and kicked a senior police agent of the Interior Office of the Western Administrative District of Moscow in order to prevent him from him from discharging his duty. The police officer got an open craniocerebral injury. The officer was delivered to the hospital.

The investigating bodies of Moscow Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have launched a criminal investigation into signs of a crime under part 2 of article 318 of the RF Criminal Code (use of violence against a representative of the authority).

At present investigating operations are underway to find the suspect and all the circeumstances of the incident.
