In the evening of 28 July 2013, an attraction Chain Roundabout collapsed on the central square of the town of Pestovo, Novgorod Region during the celebration of the Town Day. Several people with 2 underage among them were delivered to the regional hospitals with traumas. The Novgorod Region investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have launched a criminal investigation into signs of a crime under part 1 of article 238 of the RF Criminal Code (making work or rendering services which do not meet health and life safety requirements).

An investigating group is working at the scene at the moment. A number of investigating operations are underway to find all the circumstances of the crime. Investigation is ongoing.
