Senior teacher of Rostov state university of communication lines put on trial in Tuapse for bribery and forgery

The investigating bodies of the Southern Transport Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have finished investigating a criminal case against the senior teacher of Rostov State University of Communication Lines. He is charged with crimes under part 3 of article 290 of the RF Criminal Code (taking a bribe by an official for illegal actions) and part 1 of article 292 (putting by an official knowingly false information in an official document committed of mercenary interest).

According to investigators, on 3 and 23 November 2012, the senior teacher received from full-time students of the off-budget branch of Rostov State University of Communication Lines in the town of Tuapse bribes of 21 thousand rubles and 49 thousand rubles for good marks to 10 students for their exams and term papers in subjects: “Management of costs and pricing in transport” and “Finances of railway transport” without them actually taking those exams or defending their papers, that is for illegal actions. In addition, on 23 November 2012, the accused put in the official documents - qualified list of term papers in the subject: “Finances of railway transport” and in student’s record-books used to register the progress in studies, the knowingly false information about good marks for exams and term papers in the subject: “Finances of railway transport” without students actually taking those exams or defending their papers.

Investigators have gathered enough evidence and accordingly the case with the approved indictment has been forwarded to the court to be tried on the merits.
