The investigating bodies of Rostov Region of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have finished investigating a criminal case against a sole proprietor charged with a crime under part 5 of article 291.1 of the RF Criminal Code (promise to be mediator in bribery).

According to investigators the accused, whose job is to monitor the state and contamination of the environment including making different documents on the state of the environment, in January 2013, received from an acquaintance of hers 25.5 thousand rubles promising him to give it as a bribe to the officials of the Department of Federal Service of Nature Management Supervision in Southern Federal District for reconciliation of ecological documents for a number of commercial organizations. The accused had no time to use the money as she was apprehended by officers of the Rostov Region office of the Federal Security Service.

Investigators have gathered enough evidence and the case with the approved indictment has been forwarded to court to be tried on the merits.
