Criminal case opened in Tuva Republic against regional deputy minister of interior

The investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee in the Republic of Tuva have launched a criminal investigation against the republican deputy minister of interior over the signs of a crime under part 1 of article 293 of the RF Criminal Code (negligence).

According to investigators, a check into economic activity of the Interior Ministry in the Tuva Republic has shown that in the period between 1 January 2010 and 1 April 2013, during signing and execution of state contracts on maintenance of the Ministry’s buildings, the funds were unreasonably transferred from the federal budget for the clean-up services in the buildings of the Ministry, which in fact were not implemented. These actions of the republican deputy minister of interior caused the federal budget loss of about 3.5 million rubles.

At present investigating operations are underway to gather and consolidate evidence. Investigation is ongoing.
