Commission of Russia’s investigative Committee Central Office keeps on working in Yakutia

A joint meeting of officers of the Investigative Committee and representatives of regional office of the Russian Interior Ministry took place today in The Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) to listen to the report on the progress of investigation into a rape of a 4-year-old girl.

At the meeting it was pointed out to the regional directorate of the Investigative Committee that they should finish the investigation as fast as possible, improve coordination of joint actions with internal affair bodies and direct all corresponding orders directly to the senior officials of the Interior Ministry in the republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The police officers were ordered to increase the rate of their operations in finding abandoned flats and other places where teenagers drink alcohol, identifying places that sell alcohol to underage and stopping them do that, running preventive activities to stop crimes among the citizens leading antisocial life.

In addition, on the initiative of representatives of the Central Office of the Investigative Committee of the President of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) and regional ministers, there was an inter-agency meeting concerning interaction in prevention and investigation of crimes against underage. The representatives of the Investigative Committee initiated a question about necessity of the fastest possible improvement of housing conditions and provision of qualified medical help to the victim’s family. At the end of the meeting the President of the Republic ordered heads of ministries and agencies within one week’s term to allocate housing to the victim’s family and provide necessary medical help.
