A man detained in Moscow on suspicion of murder of woman, whose body was found near Bitsevsky woods

On the request of the investigators a court ruled to remand in custody a suspect in the murder of a woman, whose body was found in the evening of 6 October 2013 in a ditch near a house in Rokotov Street.

It has been earlier reported that a 49-year-old man was arrested on suspicions of the said crime. Investigators believe that it was committed at night of 27 September 2013 in the suspect’s apartment in Perekopskaya Street. During a brawl the man hit the 30-year-old woman multiple times with a cane. As a result of her injuries the woman died on the spot. The next day the man thought about the ways to conceal the crime. He found a cardboard box in the street and packed the body in it. After that he asked some acquaintances of his to help him. One of them helped to take away the body, the second took it in his car to Rokotov Street, where the suspect threw it in the ditch. Other injuries found at the woman’s body during a forensic medical expert examination had been made by the rodents.

It should be noted that though the crime is not obvious, the investigators have managed in the shortest time to identify the person involved in the crime. They have already checked the suspect’s testimonies at the scene and in his presence. In the near future the investigators are planning to bring charges against the man. In addition, the investigators are deciding over the qualification of the actions by the suspect’s friend who helped to take away the body. They believe that the man knew that he was helping to take away the dead body. The investigation is ongoing.
