Pre-investigating check launched in Moscow Region into death of family in fire

On 5 January 2014, dead bodies of a man, woman and a child were found while extinguishing a fire in a detached house in gardener’s community Rodnik in the village of Asakovo in Odintsovsky municipality. The investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee in Moscow Region are carrying out a pre-investigative check into the incident.

According to preliminary information the cause of the fire was careless handling of fire.

Check is underway to find all the circumstances of the incident. A procedural decision will be made following the check.
