On 6 January 2014, dead bodies of two men with signs of violent death were found in a house in the gardening establishment Voskhod. The investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee in Irkutsk Region have launched a criminal investigation into signs of the crime under part 2 of article 105 of the RF Penal Code (murder of two persons).

A suspect of killing the two men has been detained during investigating and search operations. It is remarkable that the man from Primorsky Territory was wanted for robbery. Now investigators are working on him.

According to investigators, on the New Year’s night had a conflict while they were having a drink. During the fight the 32-year-old suspect stabled the 65-year-old man in his neck, then the party went on and the man decided to kill the victim’s son. At some moment the man grabbed the knife again and stabbed the 36-year-old opponent and then fled the scene.

At present the court is contemplating placing the suspect into custody as a pre-trial restraint. Investigation is ongoing.
