A VAZ-2107 car with the dead body of a local man shot in head was found tonight not far from the road to the village of Tambukan in Predgorny district. In the morning when an investigating team had arrived at the scene, an unidentified explosive device went off 20 meters away from the car. Nobody was hurt in the explosion.

The investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee in Stavropol Territory have launched two criminal cases into murder of the man (part 1 of article 105 of the RF Penal Code and part 1 of article 222) and in attempt on the life of the law-enforcement agent (article 317, part 1 of article 222 and part 3 of article 223).

At present investigators and criminologists are working at the scene. A number of investigating operations are underway to find all the circumstances of the crime. Investigations are ongoing.
