One of organizers of criminal community acting in Siberian Federal District detained in Austria

On 25 February 2014 Anatoly Radchenko was detained in Vienna, Austria, based on the files submitted by the Siberian Federal District Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee to the National Central Bureau of Interpol. At present his extradition to Russia for investigating proceedings is being contemplated.

The Siberian Federal District Investigations Directorate in 2010 passed a decision to prosecute Radchenko for the crimes under part 1 of article 210, part 1 of article 209, paragraph “a”, “g” and “h” of part 2 of article 105, part 3 of article 222, part 2 of article 213, paragraphs “a” and “b” of part 3 of article 163, part 4 of article 159 of the RF Penal Code (creation of a criminal community, banditry, murder, illegal circulation of firearms, hooliganism, extortion, fraud), the court ruled to take him in custody and he was out on an international wanted list.

According to investigators, before 1995 Radchenko set up and led a stable armed group (gang) to attack citizens. In the period between 1997 and 2004 he committed three murders and two attempted murders. He is also charged with illegal purchase, transfer, sale, storage, transportation, carrying of firearms, its main parts, ammunition, explosives and explosive devices in the period between 1993 and 2009. In 2009 he committed hooliganism against four citizens and extorted money from a businessman and committed a fraud between 1991 and 1998.
