In Dagestan head of territorial office of property relations put on trial

The investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee for the Republic of Dagestan have finished investigating a criminal case against the former head of the territorial office of property relations for the Republic of Dagestan. He is charged with a crime under paragraph “c” of part 3 of article 286 of the RF Penal Code (exceeding official authority entailing considerable violation of state interests protected by the law).

According to investigators, in 2008, the accused violating federal laws without corresponding authority issued an order illegally passing a piece of land of 81 ha located in Kirov district in the city of Makhachkala and belonging to the Russian Federation on the payroll of Makhachkala city administration.

As a result of his wrongdoing the state suffered damage of over 1 billion 200 million rubles.

At the investigators’ request a court arrested property of the accused worth over 400 million rubles.

The investigators have gathered enough evidence, therefore, the criminal case with the approved indictment has been sent to court to be tried on the merits.
