July 29, 2014, Mytishchi District law enforcement bodies received a report that a child’s body had been found. Investigating bodies of the Moscow Region Main Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation immediately launched a pre-investigation check.

According to preliminary reports, the boy was left unattended, while his mother was engaged in household chores, he managed to climb up on the window sill, where he leant against a mosquito net and fell from the window to the street from a height of the 4^th floor. The fall caused injuries incompatible with life.

Currently, investigators are carrying out a number of activities aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the incident. A procedural decision will be taking upon obtaining their results.

The Investigative Committee reiterates and warns of the need for more responsible approach of parents (or other persons) to ensuring the safety of children in dwellings.
