The Magadan Region investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have opened a criminal case against head of a commercial organization in the city of Magadan suspected of a crime under part 1 of article 199.1 of the RF Penal Code (failure to implement duties of a tax agent).

According to investigators, in the period between June 2011 and July 2013, the suspect being the director of a company acting in the area of housing and communal services, as a tax agent calculated, withheld, but failed to transfer to the budget system of the Russian Federation income taxes totaling to 4.7 million rubles.

The wrongdoings were revealed by the police officers of the regional police department and a territorial body of the Federal Tax Service.

At present investigating and other operations are underway to find out all the circumstances of the crime. The investigation is ongoing.
